A causa della recessione che si sta abbattendo su tutto il mondo la federazione vietnamita di Jianzi ha ufficialmente annullato la sua organizzazione dei mondiali di Jianzi che si sarebbero tenuti ad Hanoi dal 5 al 10 Giugno a causa della mancanza di sponsor.

We are very sorry to inform you and all members of ISF as other countries in the world, Vietnam now facing with finance crisis. We are trying all our best but we can not find the sponsor for the 6th Shuttlecock World Championship. We are now concentrating on organizing the shuttlecock tournament of the 3rd Asian Indoor Games which will be held from 2nd to 7th November 2009.
Once again we apologize for not organizing the Championship this year. We hope to organize it in some next years. Please be sympathetic with us and hope to receive your support for the development of Vietnam Shuttlecock.

La federazione francese ha divulgato una lettera nella quale dice di poter organizzare lei stessa in Vietnam il torneo. Nella lettera si spiega che quella francese come anche molte altre federazioni ha già acquistato i biglietti e non potendo farseli in alcun modo rimborsare andrà comunque in Vietnam. Da qui la richiesta di giocare ugualmente, anche se in totale economia, il torneo mondiale.
La Federazione Italiana Jianzi a seguito della lettera della federazione vietnamita ha deciso di non partecipare più all'evento mondiale ed esprime la sua solidarietà agli atleti ed amici francesi.
